Hit & Miss Components Supply Getting Annoying

Seriously, this hit & miss supply of reloading components is becoming annoying. I just found a really decent load using Hodgson Clays, of which I have maybe 1/3 of a pound and now I discover that powder is unavailable everywhere.

Red Dot has been unavailable for a long time now. I have some Bullseye, but not sure how well that will work in this load.

I need a bulky, fast burning pistol / shot shell powder.

Yea I know but Clays was working really well. Perfect velocity and excellent accuracy. I have to screw with something that works.

Try some High Gun or Titegroup (one in the same) if you can source some close to you.

That's some of the only stuff around now...some LongShot still around...the odd bit of titewad and perfect pattern here and there. I just got a few bricks of W209's and the rare Rem STS 209's ! (new stock too )

check all the small gun stores in surrounding areas you never know what they might have or know someone who has what you are looking for

It's never too far. Box 'er up and stick it in the mail. Smokeless powder isn't dangerous to ship. The post office doesn't need to know.

I assume you are loading for a bolt gun. I have used a lot of less suitable powders for .300 but nothing listed in this thread. They would be very poor choices for a gas gun.

Magnum pistol powders like H110 / W296 etc are only needed to cycle a semi-auto. I'm loading for a bolt gun so the very fast, bulky pistol powders are better.
