Hit piece on the SKS on The National

Was scrolling through youtube and saw the live stream of The National which had the title "Calls to ban SKS rifle". They had en entire segment on why the SKS should be banned. So it continues on and on...
 
I just watched this online - they had all these other people (including Rathjen who said many militaries around the world still use the SKS as their standard issued weapon) given a lot of speaking time on clips - they then had Rod Giltaca on and let him talk for all of 10 seconds.

You really can see the knee jerk reaction of outlets like the CBC trying to tie correlation to causation. With the AR-15 banned, seems like the news just wants to have another tangible target and it is the SKS's turn. The ignorance is pretty plain when they say no one uses the SKS for hunting. They should probably have a discussion with the Indigenous community to which they seem to purport all manner of support.
 
They're like sharks smelling blood in the water. They'll never stop. The goal is disarmament. Surely even the most dimwitted can see that by now.
 
It will never stop. Commies hate many things including the idea of the armed society. If in fact this trend will continue on, it will be time to move out of here for me. I was born behind the Iron Curtain, but I sure won't die under their rule.

if you read the history of communism and the ones that created it: they suggested to have the peons with firearms for the revolution ... seems they keep it up to the time they were scared as well of the peons ...
 
Doesnt really matter cus the next chess move after the buy back is implemented will undoubtedly be a New Zealand grade blanket ban on semis. But by that time im sure we'll be in a recession and geopolitical frustrations will be high enough that things will begin to be handled more on a Provincial level. I know Alberta is the ripest ive ever seen it for major political change.

Yep this is where it goes next.

With the amount of SKS out there they might as well just ban them all.

All centre fire semi is next, its just a question of when?
 
That guy needs to work on his stripper clip loading techniques. Yes, it's becoming a major offensive against the firearms community.
