Hitler rants about mosin nagants

A purist might not understand why I "bubba" a surplus rifle. I don't understand why they don't understand that if the original parts are being kept, it doesn't really matter and it can be sold or passed on in the same form it came in. It's not like the original stock is gone forever. If I destroyed the original stock and parts I would take their argument a little more seriously. Or if the gun was acquired for collecting I could see why you wouldn't want to change it. But if a gun has been bought for use, customization is rightfully on the table. If you're a purist and bought my sks, I'm sure you wouldn't complain if I handed you over a box of all the original parts along with it.
