I was just thinking of this while reading. Though he 'walked' the rounds up into the deer, but there were witnesses. One was the client who gut shot the muley in the first place. Not the only one of his long range handgun exploits either.

Some people just refuse to accept that which they cannot do themselves.
 
As a youth we used to bounce 22 lr's off of a 3' x 1' rock across the coulee with a Tapered HB Ruger mk1. Had to be closer to 200 yds than a 100.
Was easy; just took a couple of bricks of ammo to get to that point.
 
I had a real good .22 pellet gun that is used to hit small birds at about 75 meters and often shot all kinds of things at what family said were stupid distances I do find first time shot if very hard to believe. But is plausible... still not something I would think happened first time without a lot of luck.
 
owlowl I don't understand the mistrust. Bullets travel in a straight line, but with a bit of an arc. No different than a basketball, you can make a layup or a full court shot, one is harder than the other, but both are possible The guy with a lot practice can make the full court shot much more often than the one who never practices.

Its not that hard of a shot to make, 300 yards with any pistol..... the bullet will get there

Have you ever seen ClayneB's posts in the 22 section or long range section on long range 22 shooting? He was holding small groups at 500 yards with a 22, which lots of guys called BS on. I think it was like a 40 ft hold over. The only hard part is figuring the hold over, once that is done the rest is easy cheesy.

He need claimed that he hit the target on the first shot. He goes by the call sign "zero" and he's an Italian operator, or former operator who now works producing a lot of training videos with dunker tactical. He's probably one of the best shots I've ever seen and if you read the commentary he states that it took many shots to hit the steel.
