HK 416 Upper?

get a POF. Put a deposit down with the Stag arms dealer for Canada. They are indentical (POF) uppers. Gas -piston.
I might get one after the Nationals, maybe, and maybe get an RRA lower. Maybe.
I would much rather get a complete carbine instead of mix and matching, but to more of a personal preference.

If you are willing to spend a pisspot full of money for a piston driven AR upper, why not just get a Sig Special?

The going price for a 416 upper in the US is $5000. There are some out there but there are many more HK junkies in the US than Cdn. They might become available? but that would be up to "the Germans".

Heckler und Koch considers us out of shape civies unworthy of their product.
Actually, HK would be happy to sell you one if the German government allowed them to.

They are not identical. Two different beasts.

OK. I was referring to Gas piston system, and they look the same. The systems run cleaner than typical AR systems. No two snowflakes are the same either, but they are both wet, white and cold, and do the same job.

Of course they are not "indentical" like one 416 is to another, or in every respect:rolleyes: , but then who has both to compare?

bottom line ====The POF IS NOT the HK 416, but as close as you can get to legally owning one.

From checking out other top forums , the Leitner-wise company seems to be the top dog . I think the owner is Canadian ( Paul Leitner-wise ) , also 48thHIGHLANDER is a boss within the company and is also Canadian and a member here on gunnutz . They seem to be pretty involved in the U.S military circles and have supplied units with there piston AR's . Here is there industry forum on arf.com ............... http://www.ar15.com/forums/forum.html?b=2&f=171 . I'm sure 48thHighlander ( Darren ) will check in here soon .

We have export permits and sales agreements in place for the full line of POF products. What we don't have are any orders. With the price of these we've been hesitant to keep them in inventory.

16"+ still applies, and is specified by the US DOS. We have had quite a few inquiries, but no firm orders.

If anyone wants one, email me. We can have it here in less than two weeks, assuming POF is able to ship, for many models, they have significant lead times.

If you want them, they will come. Who wants to be first?

Cheers,
DT

How much wampum?

Dangertree:

Can you give us a ballpark figure on home much POF carbines and uppers cost? (That way I can be sure I can't afford one.)
