HK 416 Walther 22LR on sale 399.99

So anyone...how would these stack up to a 15-22 ?

I'm unfamiliar with them but I like the standard mag capacity so if they were on par or even near as far as fit, finish and reliability I'd prob drop the 15-22 and go this route.

Love these for cheap training. Hate 10 round capacity on a .22lr.

They are a fabulous rifle although Walther has stopped producing them. We have the Walther HK G36 chambered in 22LR currently in with the lab and are hoping to have a NON Restricted FRT shortly. That is what I would recommend you hang on for. Our .02

Seeing how the "Lab" has deemed the HK243 prohib. I will not be surprised if the 22lr version is lumped into that category.
Really need one but not holding my breath.

One would thing but there is a HK G36 variant that is non restricted and the Walther HK G36 uses the same bolt assembly as the Walther HK G36

So the HK G36 22lr rifles are non restricted??

You guys briging those in??

We are, we are just waiting on FRT classification from the RCMP. The rifle is currently under inspection with the lab. We will advise everyone as to the outcome but it seems positive so far

This is why I'm looking to get HK416 .22LR, they have mag with 30rd, 20rd ans 10rd. My CZ512 have 25rd and I'm happy, 10rd its like a some king of joke for semiautomatic rifle in .22lr And I hope to see soon HK G35 or HK416 will happy too.

Wow, what a great news, this would be my first .22LR plinker since I passed on the GSG/ISSC/ANSCHUTZ rifles because of negative critics. Waiting for the HKG36 made by Walther IRG !!!!

I'm the one that originally asked to see if irunguns could bring them in after the HK243 ruling. Hoping to keep it secret so it would be a pleasant surprise.

Honestly surprised no importers tried to bring them in before. I did some basic research on the gun it seems to be that it's very mechanically similar to the Beretta Arx 160-22 which we have already have a NR FRT for, so basically a .22 blowback in a G36 shell which can't be prohibited as a variant like the Sig 522 as the g36 isn't a named prohibited. The only way it could go sideways is if it can be a converted to full auto but fingers crossed it's like the Arx 160-22 so not convertible.

I'm not to hopeful on having full capacity magazines as Walther did make a HK 416 "pistol" which shares the same magazines with the g36 and 416 rifle. But luckily Walther also makes a colt m4-22 which is a "different" magazine (different sku, different packaging and different markings too I I think) and has no similar "pistol".

As I had stated in the other thread on this subject concerning the Irunguns email, it still might be possible for us to get the Wahlter G36.
As always I'm a little worried when we put common sense and the Firearms Lab in the same sentence.
I believe it takes the standard AR 22lr magazines which are readily available and are unregulated to my knowledge!

The very first rifle I imported through you guys and still my favourite .22LR. Just too bad it's restricted (mentioning this so you don't get a whole bunch of "Is it non-restricted?")

With all the juggling with our crazy nonsensical gun laws.....it would be very helpful if every vendor automatically put the status of every firearm on their ad

Yeah you were right, he did choose poor words stating prohib in that email when that is a very specific meaning. Which made me go back and ask again where I started the process to get it classified.

I heard is that it takes 120 business days from submission of the sample rifle. The sample was submitted in April so best guess is that some news should happen in October.

We are waiting on a number of firearms. The HK G36 in 22LR, K&M Arms M17 in 308, the POF CMR and the hopefully a NR Scar 17.

We will keep everyone in the loop.
