HK G36K vs UMP

G36K, cuz I like the bigger round than the .45 comming out of the UMP (not to slander 1911's :D )

+ It has a bigger cool factor than the UMP to me.

I'd wouldn't waste too much time thinking about it...I'd just get both..

My shooting club has one of each for sale.

The G36 is going for 6600$
The UMP is going at 6000$

Sadly, I can only drool at the pictures... that's all I can afford

WOW, are you SERIOUS? If that G36 is still available a few months down the road, I'm probably going to jump on it.

If it were me, I would not buy either one at those prices. I have seen both guns for less. However, if I were pushed to make a choice, I would buy a G36 over a UMP.
 
StrangeDay, that is a SL8 conversion correct? Any plans on getting the original carry handle with optics in it?

Not an SL-8 conversion,

Yeah they're pretty freakin' cool, and if I had the money to blow I'd get one too, but I think it's more worthwhile to put $6600 into an AR-15.
