picked it up from P&D yesterday. it was dirty as hell when i got it, the previous owner left the barrel dirty and used some sort of grease on the gun. took some time to get it inspection clean

some minor finish wear on it, and its missing all the papers, no manual or test target what so ever. just an aluminum case and 2 mags

this is the biggest pistol i've ever handled (i've never handled a DEagle), the grips is so ###, i have freaklishly huge hands with long fingers and it fits perfect. i cant reach the mag release with my thumb but the mag ejects flawlessly, almost like there's a spring pushing it out. the finish is the darkest shade of black i've seen on a pistol. the trigger breaks clean and crisp, the double action feels like its 50 pounds but without any creeps or stacking.

and here it is!

i love this pistol... i tried to go to Wild West in west edmonton mall here to try it out so i dont have to go outside the city. the "day pass" is 18 bucks and their range doesnt allow outside ammo so they tried to rip me off by charging me 28 dollars + tax for 50 rounds of their reloaded .45 ACP... i told em straight up it was a ripoff and walked out, god that place is for n00bs!

i guess i'll do it another time, at another range.

I have owned all the variants..Tactical, Expert.. and recently had a Compact
Tactical that I put 500 rounds through before deciding I could live without it..
However, the one USP model I have obtained, and will hang onto, is the 23!
It is, indeed, freakishly large, but everyone who tries it, loves it!...Despite the bulk and grip size it is easy to shoot well..long sight radius, the mass
mitigates recoil and it is hell for accurate....Oh yeh, baby I'm home!:D
Enjoy your new addition to the family...I did, and continue to!

It still sounds like a bargain to me. You aren't just paying for the ammo, you're paying for the expensive hardware in your hand and the guy standing beside you that makes sure all goes well. Most .45 rounds go for about $20.00 so the extra eight dollars isn't a huge rip off to me, especially when I get to try out fairly high end pistols with it. but that's just my opinion I guess. Sorry for the hijack.

I didn't love either one that I owned.... for me, however, it was a problem of ergonomics. For lefties, that squared-off, sharp, bastardly safety lever on the right hand side of the gun can dig into the knuckle on the thumb of the shooting hand when the gun recoils. That is what happened with me anyway. I was able to avoid getting my knuckle skinned by changing my grip, but this made my wrist hurt. In the end it just did not feel good.

Seems to be an issue only for some lefties.

But, it is an objectively amazing pistol. It just did not suit me specifically. I am sure you will love it, as the vast majority of owners seem to.

You could go to Phoenix too. They are on the other side of the city though.
50st and whatever 82ave is called as it leaves the city eastbound.
