HK MR223s on order for Canada

I wasn't aware of the price. $4000 is way too high. If they sold for $2500 I can understand that. But when you compare to a US made 16" Armalite or RRA with fixed stock for $1000, you're just asking to have lousy sales when you ask for 4x as much. All the same, R. Nicholls has already placed the order with HK. Unless there's some funny business, we should see MR223s in the not too distant future.
 
Plus, it looks like (from what I've read on the HKPro website) that in their attempt to make sure the MR223 upper and/or lower doesn't get used on anything HK416 related, they also made the MR223 completly incompatible with any existing AR-reciever (upper & lower) by relocating the retaining pins.

So, I guess there won't be a market for uppers only, it's a whole rifle or nothing...

By the looks of what they did to AR exports, the Masada or any new "tacticool" design originating from the US might suffer the same fate from the State Department.

no masada??? ??? please tell me your joking i just barely escaped alcoholism once i don'twanna become a depressed drunk i don't know if i am able to emigrate to the US i know the scare will be banned from export but the masada is my hope for canada why do you wanna shoot it down?

it think if it uses the Ar15 compatable bolt it's considered a variant or if they wanna call it a variant of an ar15

obviously this was not Hk's intention as HK hates us and we suck to them if they where the greator beings everu one said they where they would be importing G36's at 2k a peace factory redesigned to use stanag magazines but like i said they hate us an we suck

what makes this rifle worth 4 mother####ing point 2 freaking grand is beyond me oh wait correction $4,161.30 it's not worth it
 
different lower.. they changed the position of one of the takedown pins by a few mm.. making it totally incompatible with AR15 lowers.

The HK416 sells for 1600 for a US department.

The uppers go for 1200.


it should be NO MORE than 2200, and even thats higher than it SHOULD be...

The Euro market is ALWAYS inflated. AR's go for several thousand dollars because they're not in demand at all.



But Canadian pricing at OVER 4000???? :eek:


Well, too bad for HK. I've been defending them against people's criticism for the past few years, hoping they'de come through. And this is what i get... I guess i should have figured :rolleyes:

I love my mark23, but looks like its gonna be the only gun of HK's i own now.


For 4000 dollars, i'll take a Sig Black Special, and Aimpoint M4s and some mags, and i'll have a better rifle anyways.

Its too bad, i would have loved a 417, but whats that gonna be, over 6000? :rolleyes:

over $4000 is a little excess for Ar15, since you can still get a sig rifles for lest than $3000. so there still choice to be made
 
OMFG can you believe HK is screwing over civilians again?

They should be giving these rifles out for free because of our years of slavish love and all the free video game publicity they get.

Because the HK lowers didn't exist on others guns when the 9X series was imported.

The 416 is SUPPOSED to be made to fit a Mil Spec AR15 lower, and thats what a lot of people have been looking foreward to.

I SERIOUSLY doubt the 416 will be non restricted just because it cant fit on a standard AR15 lower.... and even so.... 4000 bucks?

dont think so. Its a good quality rifle, but ITS NOT THAT GOOD.


LWRC, SIG ARMS, Robarms, TAVOR, and the MASADA (when its released) are ALL non restricted (with the exception of the LWRC because it hasn't been imported YET), and the most expencive one is the Sig at around 3000. Most of the others are closer to 2000.


The MR223 is going to sell like a rotten bag of oranges for 4000... cut that price in HALF and i'll take a serious look at it! ;)
