HK MR308 has arrived

Obermeyer barrel - that is ball milled (dimpled)
Ambo mag release, two stage match trigger, PMAG-LR compatibility
M110 Flash Hider, 6 position SOPMOD stock, and a gun that has been used by US Mil and Gov entities for several years.

Its Knight's, nothing we make it cheap.

There is NO DOUBT that Knight makes top notch equipment. However, for argument sake, just because it is Mil and Gov, or LE doesn't make it the best. It could be the lowest bid. I offer the Thermold as evidence. In the service a friend of mine accidentally dropped one and got a 30 round burst.

I could add most of those parts to a RRA LAR for $2800 total.

We've never been accused of being the low bidder. Only contracts we win are performance driven.

Honestly I can't afford our guns, I'd love to, but I just have to accept that for several years my habit needs to be fed at work...

As far as a .308 gun goes, I'd look to LMT, (you may see some striking similarities for the lower...) its cheaper than the Hk and kicked its ass in the Brit trials

seeing that CRAFM were the first in Canada to receive the MR308s, we were advised that the MSRP was $4599 and this is what they were advertised at
The Correct MSRP is actually $4199 and anyone who purchased the MR308 at $4599 will be receiving a credit of $400 + taxes

I may have missed it in the thread, but what's the availability and price of spare mags?

POF vs HK308

Ordered a POF in 308 for alot less money. Better gun and yes there is a long wait for them.I have an HKSL-8 and love it but would not pay $4800 for the .308

Corrected price is :$4195.00
good luck with getting a POF from the US of A, may take year before anything happen, specially with piston!

The POF is $3800 from Questar. Looks like it's a custom order though. That would be a tough call HK FOR $4195 or POF for $3800.

I'll be sitting this hand out. My Armalite still does the job for me. :D .

now that's a nice surprise, a $400 refund! gonna be some even happier owners out there now. that's freakin cool.
in a perfect world I'd have a Knights, and a HK, or mulitples of both.

Thanks for the info...I was wondering about the POF but will also sit this one out (but wish all the best to those who can afford it).

No, Pmags 308 doesn't fit the HK.

$400 doesn't go that far now aday, except for Ammo...

I think is Worthed.

That rifle began at Pakistan Ordnance Factory (rebranded Patriot). I hope the USA firm now has ZERO ties to Pakistan.

Do you have an article about that? I couldn't find any links other than the name. POF (USA) advertises to be 100% US owned.

The MR308 does have a 5/20round mag, but the 5/10 is quite alright for a 308, is the only thing I can get at the moment.

POF USA started off as an importer of POF ( Pakistani Ordnance factory) for distributing Pakistani made G3/MP5 parts. After 9/11, it is not such a good thing to associate yourself with that part of the country so the "P" became "Patriotic" instead of "Pakistani", and when they started making their own AR lowers years ago.
