HK P30 for Canada?

Does anyone know if the the HK P30 pistol will make it's debut in Canada in 2008?

As the barrel is a bit short will we see an extended barrel or the P30L?

I was holding my breath, but decided to get a P2000 instead. If the 30L ever makes its way here, I'll either trade one of my existing pistols to get one, or simply add it to my collection.

I think one european guy has a P30L on HKpro. I cant remember or find the thread, but im almost 100% positive about it!

We should be getting them soon. Be nice to try out the replaceable backstraps and side panels!

I doubt it. The P2000 costs $950 (and that with a Canada-specific barrel, which is an extra cost to HK due to low production volume). In the states, P2000 sells for about the same money as the P30 (as it is essentially the same gun). I would say $1000-1050 is a more realistic price.

I'm totally buying a P30L if it arrives upon these shores. I think it is a fantastic pistol for the masses. Same goes for the HK45.

However the waiting game sucks if you are currently in the market for a full size 9mm, with all kinds of alternative firearm offerings tempting you at the same time, such as a p226 in my case. I'm also in the market for a p2000 or a sp2022.. but without enough cash for both.
