I have a bladetech holster for my P30L
http://www.blade-tech.com/Paddle-Holster-pr-876.html
and I'd like to get a better one for IPSC/3 Gun. I know there aren't a lot of choices out there but can someone point me to what they use or who may have something better? I don't know a lot about holsters but what i'd like is it to be like the older Fobus belt holsters without the paddle (paddle seems to be common now).

I have a Blackhawk Serpa CQC for the P30L I had. They work flawlessly for the P30/P30L.

I have the lefty model. You want it? 20$

;)

Cheers.

I'm a righty or else I'd jump on that. Can you use it as a belt holster without the paddle? Are there any other holsters without a paddle? Like a Fobus or Uncle Mikes? I prefer those types.

Yes you can.

The mid ride belt loop and paddle comes with it usually but you can also get a low ride belt loop ( Duty style belt loop ) that will fit. ( extra part ).

As for the other brands I don't know.

Ebay is your friend.

Cheers.

I'm gonna order the serpa tonight. My IPSC belt is 1.5" so will the mid ride fit do you think?

Goes for belts up to 2" and more... Comes with plastic clips to secure it to the belt. No worries. Check out the Blackhawk web I linked above. All the info are up there.

I never read about all the bad press on the Serpa, I used one at work and I never thought it was of any concern. I'm pretty safety oriented (paranoid) but anyone can screw up. Interesting read.

Well serpa is good and safe for most SA/DA pistols. I would just not use one with a thumb safety single action type of pistols unless I have to rack the slide prior to be able to shoot it after its out of the holster.
