HK P7 Order -SFRC

It really is a shame that nobody has received their P7's yet. I suspect the distributor is jerking the dealer(s) around.

Side note I just took a P7M13 in a trade with 4x original mags and 2x P7M10 mags. I'll post pics when it arrives. I regret selling my last P7 so this will be nice to have.

well then looks like ghostie called it.

Well... I haven't quite called it in my own mind yet, but there does appear to be some sort of problem here. I'd much rather see more P7 pistols imported to Canada than be proven "right" on some annonymous gun forum.

All I've ever tried to say about these guns is... it all sounds a bit "off" to me. Not on Ryan's end of it, but what seems to have been told to Ryan. I just can't accept that there is a cache of NIB (or "as new", or similar description) M8's and M13's which are being sold to a retailer so cheap that they can be sold to the public at 2/3 to 1/2 the going price. I can accept that there is a cache of NIB P7's. I can accpet that that there are P7's going cheap. I can't accept that both apply to the same guns.

These are some of the most intensely and obsessively collected firearms in the whole history of firearms. The people that own them, whether they are businesses in Israel or whatever, are going to be well aware of the going prices in the civy market in Canada and the United States, and act accordingly.

I still hope something shows up at some point though. I have been on the list since the very first moments I heard about this possibility, and I will buy one - provided they are even "decent" condition at that price (let alone "as new"). If it turns out that there are a whole bunch of "as new" M8's and M13's... great!! Here's my CC number! As I say, I'll take that any time over being proven right on an annonymous forum.

Nice. dont know what the trade was but that looked like a good deal to me. The mags alone were worth a lot, particularly the p7m10 mags. The only reason i would spring for the M13 over the M8, would be if it came with or I could readily get some M10 mags.

If there is a problem, my bet is that it's Canada Border Services / RCMP inspired. Remember, there is an FRT entry for the P7 in each model as prohibited, whether PSP, P7M8, P7M13...

So if these pistols have to pass through customs, of course there will be someone anxious about these "prohibs". It has been repeatedly proven by countless law abiding Canadian firearms owners that these pistols correctly measure 107mm from muzzle to breech, and yet there are still P7 pistols registered as prohibited, and I'm sure there is a BIG waste of time happening with every import. Why can't THESE pistols be re-classified, since this can quietly happen to firearms, and why can't the invalid prohibited FRT entry disappear?

We know you read these threads at the Registry, so please, eliminate the erroneous prohibited FRT entries for these and other firearms, and let our Border Services people get back to more useful efforts. Thank you!

i thought ryan said they were already in canada..

i just had one reverified from prohib to restricted.. it's funny, but it didn't seem any more dangerous when it was prohib than it does now..

I think it was a pretty good trade for both of us, my XCR-M straight across for his P7M13 with all the mags. It's definitely one that's going in my collection that I'd have a hard time selling.

Holy Stupid RCMP!!! Interestingly the bbl length in the original HK P7 manual specifications vs the registration document do not match. Now that's just plain silly. And its not < a restricted length.

Some have been wrongfully classed prohib because the barrel is right on the border and some people don't know how to measure it properly.

Not stupid at all - do you know how long it took to figure out that those guns were legally restricted? - All part of the plan. My local gunsmith now measures every single Smith 4 inch revolver that comes into his store - some of those are over the minimum too!
