I understand these have been sitting in police stations in the Middle East (i think Saudi but not sure) since mid 80s. Police force bought up a bunch when it was flush with cash and put them in storage. I can only assume the polymer craze took over (they went in other direction anyway) and these were never issued. rediscovered recently and liquidated.
 
IMO it would be nice if there was a limit of some sort on the number of P7's each person can purchase. That way more CGN members can get to own and enjoy shooting a nice piece of German design/workmanship.

I'm looking forward to seeing how many of each model arrives. It's a rare opportunity to purchase one of these BNIB.

No, I'm just playing. That is a well known photo from Wikipedia. I am curious to see what they look like. If there is a backstory involving Saudi police stations, that would be cool. Where are you getting that story from?

my info is from another dealer that was interested. This may not be the same batch (he thought there were P7s in the batch he looked at) but i would be surprised if they were not same. what are the chances of 2 new surplus batches showing up.

I highly doubt they are Saudi pistols as MIC (Military Industries Corporation) has an agreement with HK to not sell to places like Canada. Last year I tried to find out their origin and have heard everything from Israel to Saudi from Trigger Wholesale.

How do we know our position on the list? I am waiting for this pistol to come and hope I am one of the lucky ones to get one.
