HK P7 PSP... white dot came off of rear sight!

Back before Christmas I was shooting my P7 PSP (German police surplus, one of the ArmsEast ones, a very nice gun) and I noticed that one of the dots flew off! I looked around for the piece that flew off... but it was gone (I was thinking of crazy-gluing it back, probably wouldn't have worked anyway).

What should I do? I can order a new rear sight from Numrich for about $35 US (plus b.s. to get it here). One of the Range Officers (whose opinion I value) said, don't bother trying to put anything in the old sight. The original white dots are pushed in with a machine at the factory. Anything you try and put in there will just fly out right away. What do you guys think? The sights still work fine, it just looks a bit weird. Does anybody that bought a PSP and swapped out the sights want to sell me their rear sight cheap?

Ever heard of this happening with HK's before (or others)?

based on reading from HKpro, it state that you should just put paint/ white it since this is a problem still exist in today's HK (USP series)

If it was mine I would superglue something (preferably white) in the hole. If it needed to be painted white after I would just do that. One of my Beretta's sports white-out sights.

I just went and checked out some plastic I have now that you got me thinking about it. I think I have the perfect material to pop in there (I would use superglue as well). I could send you a small piece.

or you could just remove the other dot so it doesn't look weird anymore lol

This is the stuff I have. It is 1/16" white plastic for side dots on a guitar fret broard.

perhaps a drop of white appliance paint (stuff to fix washer, fridge) which when applied should form a drop. You would have the gloss to. Ive used liquid paper in the past as well- but its not durable.

Any white rod, chuck it in a drill and sandpaper it down to a tight fit. Or paint .

Now I'm waiting for this to happen on mine.

If it happens, I would try to remove the other white dot, and then get a tiny bottle of those glow-in-the-dark sight paint to fill the holes.

Thanks for the offer, and thanks to everyone for the responses. It is a bloody aggravating situation. Maybe I should take you up on your offer of using that fretboard stuff. Worth a try anyway. If that doesn't work I can go on to step two. Looks like you are somewhere around Vancouver, possibily. I'll get in touch through PM.
