So, is that it now for the P7M8? There seem to be no other new units available, with little prospect of more on the way. I've heard that they are completely out of production, but then I've also heard that it only applies to the US, and that they may still be produced in limited numbers for military and police in other countries.

Anyway know for sure what the deal is?

Greece is producing them under license for their armed forces but HK is done with them. It is very costly to produce and is not a very hot seller so it was axed. Grab one now while you still can!

Yeah I heard that it was rip as of the end of 05'. To bad nice pistol. I might source a used one sooner or later.

New ones carry a warantee

For what its worth if you can still find a new one, they carry a lifetime warantee for the first owner if you buy it from an offical H&K dealer.

I bought a P7m8 jubilee edition and a P7m13 just recently, but I have not yet taken delivery (still waiting on my R-PAL).

Gronski, where did you snag the M10? I've only ever seen one for sale in the past few years.

HK is still making the M13 in limited quantities (I bought a 2006 production model).

Wolverine says they are getting the p7m10

Wolverine says they are getting a limited number of the p7m13. I put down a deposit for one it is not yet in my hot little hands.

Whoops

Sorry everyone, I screwed up. What I have ordered from Wolverine is a 9mm P7m13 NOT a .40 cal P7m10. The 13 round magazines are pinned at ten rounds and that is why I had "m10" in my head insteadd of "m13" sorry for the confusion this may have caused. I will edit my posts above to reflect this...

I thought the P7M10 was a limited run ?

They did it for 2 years back in the mid-90's then just realized it wasnt going anywhere. I bought one for almost $1300 in excellent condition 3 years ago at a gunshow. The only time where I found something that wasnt crap, dirt or overpriced.

You should just get one of these! P7M8 Stainless with Nil Grips :p

Wanted the warantee / worried about length

You might have been better off getting a Jubilee from gunbroker or gunsamerica and getting questar to import it for you. You might have saved a big chunk of $$$.

Yeah I thought about doing that, but I wanted the warantee so I figured a direct Canadian dealer purchase was the best way to go. Especially because the barrel is just barely over 105mm so I wanted to enure I had no problem registering it in Canada ) I don't have my 12.6.

Plus Questar couldn't help me either until I had my PAL in my hands (I'm waiting on the mailman right now), and I had to do all the legwork to get the gun. With Ronin yes it was expensive but I could wait for the gun WHILE waiting for my PAL, and I've got my warantee and know it can be registered as restricted.

One day I'd love to get my hands on a Stainless / Nickle P7M10, and some other P7 variants, but those will come with time and will of course be used.

P7k3

Also just to let you know the P7K3 you are looking for in your signature is a 12(6) as it has a short barell.

The P7K3 is a long term dream, and I confess I have not done much research on the legality of obtaining one. You're right about that barrel length for the .32 and .38 barrels; Indeed the calibre of the .32 barrel is prohibited on its own. However I did think that the .22 barrel was long enough for restricted territory.

My (unresearched and quite likely flawed) plan was to purchase a P7K3 in the US, install the 22 barrel and import it, leaving the short prohibited .32 and .38 barrrels in the US (NOT importing them EVER to Canada).

Or maybe one day 12.6 guns will be available to us law abiding citizens who were not grandfathered.

They don't seem much cheaper

There's one on gunboker starting at $2,100 or buy it now for $2700:
http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=55458869 once you add in Questar"s $200 fee, its not much cheaper.
