They did it long time ago! Model 77B......
Same single action striker fired, spring over fixed barrel, single stack, delayed blowback with gas piston setup as a P7 but squeeze-finger-slide-racking instead of squeeze-cocking. I think they were trying to copy it without having one on hand and the translator did a bad job with the german spec sheet. We went from squeezing cocking with the whole hand to fingering the Chinese gal.
That is one ugly looking norinco..
