So how does a canuck go about ordering HK parts? The company in the states doesn't ship them out, and we cant bring any in by ourselves, so how do we go about getting parts for our own HK's?

Specifically, I'm looking to do the USC-UMP conversion, and some random parts for my HK USP45.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I was able to get parts from Wolverine although it took a while. Not their fault- HK is slow to release parts it would seem. I did manage to get some parts from the EE but you have to keep a close eye it and be right there to buy.

Hera makes the conversion parts and there are canadian dealers for Hera no?

Was the export limit raised from the $100 threshold? I remember hearing somewhere they changed it to $500 but I'm not sure if that was correct or not. (I just checked some stuff out and apparently it does not apply to stuff we pick up from there, only exports from a dealer like brownells and that too only for certain stuff - hkparts still doesnt apply)

I haven't heard of Hera's conversions before. Do you have any link to any canadian dealers that may have it?

Having gone through the USC-UMP conversion myself it's a PITA and an expensive one to boot.

The companies that do the full stock conversion blocks are not export registered so you basically have to 'grey market' the parts.

The lower is one of the hardest to get parts, although they are out there. The stock blocks are just as hard to get because of the export stuff. I ended up designing and making my own stock block CAD drawing, and getting a local CNC shop to do it for me.

Then there are the mags, I bought 10 of them to get a decent deal on them.

A FAR more reasonable option is to stick with the USC mags and lower, and go with the HERA Arms stock conversion, the new one that uses the ACR stock is pretty slick; except that it sits too high to use the factory iron sights, and it's much more expensive now than they used to be (~700 last time I talked to a guy getting one)

You're probably going to spend ~1500 for JUST the UMP45 lower and stock block conversion for a true USC-UMP conversion though.

ETA

I have been waiting for almost a year and a half now for the barrel roll pins for my USC-UMP.

Wolverine supplies carries HERA products. Ellwood epps also had one in stock.

The export limit is only if you want to export out of USA.
And the export limit applies even if you are picking the stuff up from the store.
