Hk ptr32

It's a 7,62X39 HK that takes AK mags, does somebody know if it's prohibited by name? Is it based on a G3?

I believe it is a variant of the HK-33, and therefore prohib.

However, while looking at the prohib list I noticed something rather strange.

"•The firearm of the design commonly known as the Heckler and Koch (HK) Model G11 rifle, and any variant or modified version of it."

I believe that proves what we all have known for years, the bastards just used a Jane's Gun Recognition Guide (or similar) to make the list of prohibs.

sigh. are you sure it is a variant? we need an hk expert!

based on the US price these would/should be relatively cheap if they were by some miracle not prohibited. the US price is around a grand for these.

Looks quite a lot like my HK91, I'll take some pics tonight and post tomorrow. Forestock, receiver, selector, dioptic sights all look the same, only difference is cal. and mags.

Upper receiver looks like a G3 receiver to me..

The fine gentlemen at RCMP deemed the GSG-5 a variant of MP5... They would probably see enough similarities to prohibit PTR32 as a variant of M134 minigun, never mind the G3.

i asked the same question not too long ago. the answer i got was that because the receiver is of the same/similar "design" to the G3 style receivers, the gun is prohib.

I would like to be 100% sure though, I wouldnt want to miss out on a black rifle like this one from just speculation.

hk 91 but there are some ptr32's in there.

You didn't find some sort of gem that everyone else missed. If you haven't seen or heard of them in Canada, there's probably a good reason.
