HK SFP9 availability in Canada

Why, is there a shortage? I bought mine a year and a half ago, and a lot of stores had them at the time.

It's a great handgun, I hope you can find one.

Hk is currently focusing on government contracts. So our distributor already told us no additional Hk shipments for a while now.
We'll probably see more in 2020.

Whatever we have now is what we have in stores and random warehouses.

Like someone else said they come in waves.
 
Yes, it's only for Canada that they have to do special production run of 106mm barrels since the SFP9 sold around the world has a 104mm barrel. They're not exactly in a hurry to do that at this time.

That's false, Five-seveN is restricted pistol just like any other handguns. It's a gimmick gun and that's about it.

Unless im mistaken the 5.7 armour piercing ammo is prohib... not that it natters they are nearly unobtanium.

It's a neat thing. Belgian army issues them as their sidearm. But the logistics of running one seriously is expensive. And the terminal capabilities with a lot of the commercially available ammo is limited(mind you pretty much all handgun ballistics are mediocore at best).

Yes, SS190 is named prohibited, but there's regular ammo out there

I would suggest contacting North Sylva Sports, they might be getting some in the near future.
 
Don't mean to hi-Jack but the Fiveseven isn't really a "gimmick" handgun at all.
Roughly half the recoil of a 9mm, with the FN ammo extremely accurate, pretty good factory triggers
And very reliable. Also flush fit 20 round mags, extended 40's are not bad in the gun to carry. Shooters tend to shoot the gun very, very well, extremely low recoil guns are often shot well easily.

With duty ammo penetrates all soft body armor. True stopping effectiveness is debated but if shot with one you are dealing with a hole and lead in you, regardless of any soft armor you are....or are not wearing. This was part of the NATO RFI.
