Hey guys,

So new SFP9 - out of the box - and no audible reset. Is that normal till it's "broken in" or something? I haven't fired an HK SFP9 before so I wouldn't know, but in videos of other owners, you can hear the reset.

Do I need to be worried and send it back???

thanks

Silly question but I have to ask. After you have racked the slide and pulled the trigger are you holding the trigger in and racking the slide again prior to releasing to hear and feel the reset?

LOL, no I do not

Mine is very auditable. Infact, the reset is why I like the trigger on the SFP9 so much.

I know! That's what all videos are saying too, but this is.... super soft.

This may be why you are not getting any reset. The only way to get a trigger reset is to have the trigger fully depressed while the slide cycles. When you ease the trigger out after racking is when you feel/hear the reset.

Hope this helps!

Thank you, this is what I was trying to explain when typing in a rush at work. The reply "LOL no I do not" from the OP would be exactly why your not feeling the reset.

I feel like such a massive idiot!! At the range, one is in a heightened state of awareness - so stupid brainfarts like this don't happen. Of course! It's a damn snapcap, it needs to be cycled before I attempt to reset!
Thanks so so much guys!

I just tested it out and there's a nice reset. Although, and I think it's because it's new, I feel a little grit during the takeup. And I think this part might be normal because its just out of the box and with use, it will gradually go away. Just the same as the damn slide release lever is so hard to pull down with your thumb!

Much much appreciated again!
