Hopefully a little less. HK USA announced this summer they were doing another run of them at $1700 USD MSRP ~2160Cad at current. So maybe after import and markup $2600ish ballpark.

Very true, but from factory it has a 20.8" barrel and an NR FRT entry. Nothing stopping private import.
They've been listed but they havent been actually in stock for the last few years. Ask Canada's HK importer they have unfilled standing orders.

I remember checking with the distributor (don't quite recall - maybe North Sylva) and was told that they don't anticipate seeing any of these anytime soon (meaning 2021/2022). I was told that HK has focussed primarily on the military market and the civilian market lags behind.
My local gun shop, which used to carry them (and the price is still around $2000, though I think those were like 2020 and before prices), have told me if they get some in, it's only one or two at a time, with very little notice. Price be north of $3000 now once anything comes in. They did start receiving the SL8 mags, which was encouraging (I bought some even at the crazy price of $90 for a 5-round OEM, even though I don't have an SL8...yet). Some used SL8s I have seen on the EE last year for over $3500.
If there is indeed a more recent update and something is coming in, it would be delightful news.

It was worth it with all the extras, a hera g36 conversion lower, b&t quad rail and hera sight rails, spuhr mag well stanmag conversion, original parts, pelican case etc.
