Does anyone know any online gun stores that have this gun in stock. I have been falling in love with it recently. Im looking for a .223 for coyote hunting and I figured I might as well go after a pretty ###y looking one while im at it. Ive also been looking at the Tavor, but Im hearing that lefty bolts are pretty hard to come by and it would be pretty useless to me without one.

There's a LH Tavor bolt on the EE. Snap it up!

Hang in there.

I recently got one, and initial range impressions are that the gun is very accurate (easily MOA) and a pleasure to shoot. If you want to reach out and touch coyotes, as I do, it's great.

As of late I have also fallen in love with the sl8, what are the thoughts of using this gun as a mid to long range (400-600yds) deer and beaver hunting rifle. Has anyone taken a whitetail with a .223 on here? What was the shot like and what kind of carnage are we talking about on the deer's end of things.

I had an SL8 for about a year, I bought it with high hopes as being my med. range doogey gun. Here's what I found... the guns can be stinking sweet shooters, handloads will shoot sub MOA no problem, as should high quality factory amo. My beef with it was that I had problems with walking POI with it and I think its just the nature of the beast, and it wansn't an optic problem either. If you check out how the rail/ barrel relationship is its understandable that things will shift with shooting or just general use. My other gripe was the ergos of the gun suck with the thumbhole. I did the full HERA and it was better but with the low rail and a regular 40mm scope its way up there and that makes for poor cheek weld, oh and charging the gun with the low rail and gloves on suck as well so if you go up to the high rail it gets worse for cheek weld. All this being said I still wanted a semi auto 223 and went the way of the XCR. It doesnt shoot like the SL8 but I've never had my POI wander either and I'd rather shoot an inch and a half and know it than shooting a nice clover leaf three inches right of where it was when I shot it last:)
