HK USC - brand spankin' new

I put it up in the EE for short time, but then quickly changed my mind. After my first range session, I decided I did not like the iron site system on this gun. But, after a few more trips, and a total of 265 rounds now, it is really growing on me, and I am shooting fairly accurately with it, although not as accurately as my old Stag-15 2L. It fits like a glove, and is much more comfortable to handle and manoever (for me) than any AR. It is a solid and tight shooter. I've decided that I will put another 1000 rounds through it, then come to a final verdict... to keep or not to keep.

I am looking forward to getting this one out to the range. In the meantime here is a pic:

UncleWalther what can you say about accuracy? What kind of groups are you getting? Another thing I would like to know is how do you like the caliber? Ever had a chance to track muzzle velocities? All I can find on the net is references to that caliber shot from like 4.5" barrels, I know numbers will be dramatically different for longer barrels. I just fired a few shots from 12G 3" magnum loaded slugs - made me think if I am going to gym or am I done for a day. No shoulders routine today for sure. 45 must be sweet, is it?

5rd mags limit right?
Yah, unfortunately it is all 5 round.

Maybe HK will introduce a sweet little pistol-style USC that uses the same mags, and which is classified as a pistol by the RCMP. Then again, maybe pigs will start flying soon... :(

If the TP-9 isn't a pistol... I don't know what it will take for some of these other guns to get a "pistol" classification. The guns should definitely not come standard with a stock of any kind, folding or otherwise. A built-in foregrip like the TP-9 probably isn't helping either. And, the dumbest one of all, it seems to go a long way for the company to put the word "pistol" in the product's name, ala Rock River Arms and Bushmaster. Putting "carbine" in the name, ala "USC", is probably all the RCMP needs to see.

I've put a few hundred more rounds through this gun, and it is growing on me more and more. I found the iron site system a little tricky to get used to, but once I did I found I was shooting pretty accurately with it. So far it is 100% reliable too!
