Never messed with one in person, but I have the HERA top rail and it's beautifully machined and finished.
It would certainly eliminate any hassles of going with the conversion process and give you the better ergonomics with the normal pistol grip stock. As well keep the single stack mags, even though they are stupidly expensive, they are available.... Actually I think Blaxsun has the HERA 20/5 ones that are LESS than the factory HK mags are now! Shoot him a PM and see...

I was just gonna' say the same thing! Blaxsun has a tonne of the HERA products...I think he just recently BTTed his post or started a new one for the sale of the UMP style USC mags...supposedly they were a special production run from HERA, and they didn't make too many of 'em either...

That's the way I was going to go before I did the full UMP lower conversion. I ended up getting my lower at a really good price so I jumped on it, the UMP mags I got a good price on too but I also ordered 10 of them. Chkam was a good guy to deal with getting the UMP mags, but with the US market having a deep supply issue right now (HK-usa had some back orders for the UMP mags) so the prices skyrocketed.... I'm REALLY glad I got mine when I did.
