HK USP Expert 9 mm

Best out of the box polymer gun I've tried, but I never bought one as it didn't fill a role for me. Too big for IDPA. Trigger isn't as good as an SAO gun and it's lighter than a metal frame which makes it worse for pure target work IMO.

If you're looking for a polymer range toy you could do a lot worse, but for the money a CZ TS is superior. Additionally, being an H&K, you'll pay crazy money for accessories and spares if you can find them. The one I tried had the Jet funnel which is a pricey option. Last thing that stood out to me were the stock sights which were fantastic.

You don't see them in the EE too often which makes me think those who have them like them.

I like them a lot. I had the Expert and currently have the Elite (very similar) - it is one of my range staples. I've seen guys shoot the Expert as well as anything else. If you like the grip and don't find it too big (I don't at all but some do) you can't go wrong. Bullseye in London Ontario have them for a great price btw, and are great to deal with.

The ergos are probably its weakest point. If your hands are small, forget it you will never get used to the grip.

Accuracy is excellent
Trigger is great for a polymer SA/DA
excellent reliability

Cons
Bore axis is high
Expansive
Blocky grip

Kind of sucks to have such a long barrel since it bumps me to the standard class in IPSC.

Over all its pretty good. I will post some pictures once I get some time.

tagged. I have been thinking about this one or a while. I want to convert it to a UMP.

LOL, you would have a hard time converting a semi auto pistol into a blowback sub machine gun. Sorry couldn't help it. Jokes aside the Expert is an awesome pistol. It is crazy accurate, has a match trigger, great target sights, and I love the grip. The grip is too large for my wife to be able to use the functions with ease and the LOP is too long for her to operate the trigger in DA. She does shoot it very accurately in SA.

I've owned two--they were likely the most accurate to shoot centrefire pistols I've ever owned. I have small hands and did not feel that it was too big. Bore axis was a non issue for me with the light recoil. Loved the paddle mag release. I only sold my last one since my near-distance vision after eye surgery in January was affected to the point that it was tough to see the sights well enough to shoot it well.

Edit: here's my old one (the gun dealer hosting this image must've found my original pic posted somewhere and "borrowed" it):
