HK USP Tactical .45 Auto - Parts Needed

Hi,

I'm hoping this is the right forum to post this question, and if so, that someone will be able to point me in the right direction. I'm looking to purchase the flat spring (Iden#214167) for my HK USP 45. I understand that it's a fairly common part to replace, but as many of you are probably aware, most U.S. retailers won't ship parts to Canada (e.g. HKParts.net). I'd prefer to just order it from my local club or shop, but they can't help - does anyone have any suggestions?

Wolverine Supplies didn't have any in, but Ellwood Epps offered to order them for me - $10 for for the flat spring, so I just got two. Unfortunately, it can take ~8-12 weeks to arrive....

Nice to know another place to get HK parts. How many rounds do you have through your usp tactical?
 
I'd try Brownell's or Numrich (both US sites with export capabilities) if the part is under $200 and the manufacturer lists this as exportable... don't quote me on that, but I'd ask them first if you can't find anything in Canada. Worst they can say is no. Good luck.
 
Brownells does not carry any HK parts, and numrich does not carry all of the parts, for every pistols all of the time.

IF you are willing to wait a few weeks, any gunsmith or gun store can order parts through RNcholls. That is what Wolverine does when they buy parts and that is what any gun store does when they need an HK part in Canada.
You just need to find someone who is willing to put up with the time involved in ordering a $10 dollar part, and sometimes that just takes time, depending who you get on the other side of the phone at Rnicholls. So you are better off making a list of all the parts you will be needed in the next 5K -10K rounds and order them, that way, you will get their attention more easily. Choose a gun store that carries the brand and they will hook you up with what you need. Wolverine is one of them, there also is Reliable Gun, Elwood Epps, Wanstalls.

I probably put through about 2,000 so I'm a bit surprised that it needed to be replaced. I tried to find out if this would be considered normal 'wear and tear' but couldn't find any consistent responses.
