Don't know when they're coming to Canada, but they're getting closer. Canadian legal barrel length noted in description.

They will, only a matter of time. And if they are like any other HK pistol/vatiant released or made available to us, you just never really know when they will actually be here...kinda' adds to the whole dark-themed, HK persona if you ask me. But I LOVE HK's, so you'll never hear me #####in' about their methods...

I'm not sure if I'm just missing it, but I don't see anything in your link that indicates a Canadian legal barrel length. All I see is the reference to a barrel that is "approx. 104 mm" in a couple of different places.

Damn, right you are, that's not canadian legal. Thought it was 104mm, it's 106 and over that's legal in Canada.

We're really splitting hairs here, just sayin'

The product sheet I have for the SFP9 shows the same barrel length as the VP9 (4.09" / 104mm). I think we will have to wait quite a while to see a Canadian legal version from HK.

HK in Germany is well aware of the Canadian Legal barrel lengths. Just give them some time to produce a few models with longer barrels or extended threaded barrels. They've done it with their other pistols.

Personally I'd prefer to see a 1.5mm longer barrel over a threaded one. Or petter yet, an "L" version. I guess we'll have to wait and see what and when HK comes out with.

As would I. It's frustrating to yet again see an interesting handgun produced a mere millimeter or two too short for us, forcing us to buy ugly and generally useless threaded barreled models.

I'm facing the same dilemma with my Walther PPQ M2 Navy. I don't like the long threaded barrel sticking out, but now I'm looking at ways to shave it down to 106mm so it's close flush with only a couple mm sticking out. Can likely do the same thing with a VP9 threaded barrel, and if the stock barrel/slide is 104mm, you'd likely get a similar result by getting it down to 106mm. All that would be sticking out from a good metal worker is a little rounded crown.

You can order a 106mm PPQ barrel from Jarvis in the USA. Add $20 USD to ship to importer/exporter like Prophet River and you can get it imported into Canada.
I have measured a number of pistol barrels that are "Canada Legal". Often they are greater than 105mm but shorter than 106mm. If you were to trim a barrel I would suggest make it at least 106mm in case a bit too much material is trimmed in the process. On the PPQ to trim it to 106mm will mean a tiny bit of the threading will be left. The PPQ slide is just a tiny bit shorter than the P99... if you put a Canada legal 106mm P99 barrel in the PPQ it looks like more of it sticks out the end.

Although the P99 barrel can fit in a PPQ, I would not suggest shooting it. There are minute differences in the lugs.

Anybody else notice the sfp9 is lighter than the vp9?

And the VP9 is certified for 3.1 impulse ammo, whereas the sfp9 is certified for 2.6 nato ammo.

Anyone know why that is?
