HK XM-8: What Was it and Why? (With Larry Vickers)

Did a lot of reading on the SL8 and the G36/XM conversions. Makes a great shooter even heavier and reduces reliability. A few guys said after going down the conversion road they just prefer a bone stock SL8, not even a magwell conversion. But if one has the cash to do so then why not I suppose.

Just a handguard changeout and a slick paint job really enhances the stock look.

Had an SL8..its awesome had the stock replacement, magwell and 1x6 optic but almost unusably heavy; the last thing one needs is to make it heavier. I had to let it go, there is almost no reason to have a bench rest 223/556. Light, accurate and dependable is where its at.
