Next time someone says its too heavy...

I thought only the MR series comes with the slim stock shown in the pictures above !!! And these are Hk 416, aren’t they ?
Thanks...good to know, I was wondering why people didn’t seem too exited about the slim stock ? Is the 416 stock that much better ?
Also, What sights you guys are using ?I Have the 14,5 in version, with the Hk turret and front retractable sight like shown above. I didn’t shoot it yet, got it a couple of weeks ago. I’m Not in hurry to buy super expensive optics, but I’d like eventualy something practical and proven that isngood for 100-200 m.
Suggestions ?
I suggest the Elcan Spectre DR. I quite like mine aside from the weight. If the cost and/or weight are too much for you, consider the ELCAN OS4. Same quality glass, without the 1x setting that mimics a Red-Dot Sight

Not good news - no updates from HK regarding civilian deliveries coming before 3rd quarter 2018 due to factories running at max capacity to fill military contracts. That came straight from HK....
I also likes the ACOG and the price-quality ratio is much better. Watched the reviews, and eye relief seems to be an issue with most reviewers . I have zero experience with magnifiers and sights, so bear with me here. what is this eye relief thing....I have a rough idea.
by the way guys....just thinking loud here.....I have the 14.5 in MR223A3, with the turret sights, never fired, got it a month ago. Was contemplating the 11 inch upper. I like the 14.5 version for shooting at 100m and beyond. I understand the 11 in is more for shorter range. I was looking to get an 11 in upper on top of what I have, or maybe see here in this forum if anyone is interested to sell or trade their 11 in for a 14.5 in upper. what do you think guys. I can always get a 14.5 upper later.
The 11" will shoot well out to 200m as long as you're doing your part. Not easy, but doable for the size of targets for say competition shooting at 200m. It will shoot 100m easy all day long.
Eye relief is basically the distance from the back of the optic to your eye for a proper sight picture. Where optics have a very short (your eye needs to close) or unforgiving (your eye needs to be at exactly the right distance and position) eye relief, they can be a bit of a pain to use. Some ACOGs have better eye relief than others.
TA31 has the shortest, so it needs to be mounted pretty far back, but the magnification and field of view are excellent. Good general-use optic.
TA11 has longer and more forgiving eye relief, but it's heavier than the TA31 or TA33. Good optic where you want versatility and aren't concerned about weight.
TA33 is by far the lightest of those I own, with the longest and most forgiving eye relief - you can mount it pretty much anywhere on the top of an AR, and you can almost use it like a red dot. BUT the magnification and field of view are also lower. Good optic where you want something light for shooting at closer ranges. This is what I put on my HK
TA11 is my personal overall favorite.
