Hk416

That is a prohib. But the civilian HK MR 223 is almost identical without the fun switch of course. That we can get as a restricted.
 
To clarify, it's prohib because it's select-fire. There are a few HK416 uppers floating around, but they're ridiculously expensive.
 
haha yeah its funny i read about the rifle in this months issue of "speacial weapons" and then saw the thread about bin laden haha. any of the suppliers have these? i kno there pretty expensive but still wouldnt mind a look.
 
TSE definitely had an MR223.

Are there any differences between a 416 upper and a MR223 upper? I mean even a stamp or something that would make them more desireable? The MR223 is a pretty pricey unit as it is.
 
I've seen at least three Hk416 uppers in canadian hands (on this site). They are like 10,000+ right? Ridiculous.
 
The MR 223 is probably a bit better gun for your money. It has a heavier match grade (non-chrome lined barrel) which is press fitted into the receiver for greater accuracy. Being a Non-Military HK Product, you will be able to order barrels and parts ($$$), although they may take a bit for delivery.

I'm very happy with mine and it shoots very well. I have shot a few thousand rounds through Hk 416's and I think the MR 223 is more accurate, although a bit heavier due to the barrel.

If you plan on dive operations (in salt water, Navy Seal style) you might be able to take advantage of the chrome lining.

The barrel is nitrocarburized -Swiss Arms barrels are not chromelined either.

Basicly, the same concept as Glock Tennifer and S&W Melonite.

There's an unfired one in the EE right now. Decent price too, at $3800 (I'm pretty sure new is ~$4400 +tax).
