Anyone know how I can get a hold of one of these kits? I asked Wolverine but they say it's for military/leo only. I'm assuming that's an export restriction H&K has placed on it since I read about people using it in the US.

My question is if that is the case, if I buy it retail in the US, will the same conditions apply if I do the paper work myself, or get armatac or another importer to do it?

EDIT: Just noticed the kit is under $100, so shouldn't I be able to buy it and bring it back without paperwork?

Managed to snag an LEM kit. Just got it installed, and from just dry firing it, I think I'm going to enjoy it a lot more than DA/SA. The trigger is still a bit gritty since it's not broken in yet, but I'm sure that will smooth over in time. Installation wasn't that bad, just followed instructions on Youtube.

After I manage to get to the range I'll let you all know how it is, in case anyone is on the fence about converting their HK45/USP/etc.

You have my attention. I spoke with Wolverine about the LEM for my HK45 and was told
no chance of importing, LE& Mil only.

Got out to the range with it today, and I must say it's pretty damn sweet. I fired about 150 rounds total before I lost daylight.

It basically just removes all the weight from the DA trigger pull until the break but none of the length, so to me after you take up the slack it's pretty much like SA all the time. I'll definitely be keeping the LEM. I think I've drunk the H&K Kool-Aid, because now I want to replace my PX4 with a P30L LEM.

Now I'm going to dry fire the s**t out of it every day in an attempt to smooth the trigger out. The gun has less than 1000 rounds through it total, even before the LEM install, so the trigger is still pretty gritty.

Question: If I don't clean the gun, will that accelerate the breaking in if I dry fire it? Basically I want to accelerate wear on the trigger/sear components to smooth it out right? Figure the dirt might help wear it down quicker.

Clean your pistol then dry fire the crap out of it. The trigger in my P2000 has smoothed out nicely after a few thousand live rounds and about the same in dry fire.
