I've been doing some searching (H&K, HKPRO, Google) and have found that there are ten variants of the HK45 but can not find info on what the exact variants are nor the product codes for them.

Any H&K gurus know what they are?

There's only one variant of the HK45. You may have confused it with the USP.

No, I'm not confused and I'm pretty sure that I'm versed well enough in the English language to understand the words "ten" and "variants". On the other hand, you may be correct in so far as there may have only been one variant of the HK45 produced by H&K to date.

The Heckler & Koch HK45 - Revolutionary

The HK45 was developed to meet the needs of the most distinguished, elite
U.S. military operators.

The HK45 is available in any one of the 10, HK specific variants, including
the double-action and single-action Law Enforcement Modification known as
the LEM. Left, right and ambidextrous control levers provide safety and/or
de-cocking functions and can be fitted to the pistol by simply changing
parts.

A unique, internal mechanical recoil reduction system reduces the recoil
forces imparted to the weapon and shooter by as much as 30%, improving
shooter control during rapid firing.

The HK45 combines the accuracy, modularity, reliability and extended service
life that you have come to expect from a company that prides itself for
their “No Compromise” slogan. Both models can be fitted with threaded
barrels for use with sound suppressors.

Some of the numerous features of the HK45:

Ergonomical grip profiles
Replaceable backstraps
Integrated Picatinny rail molded into the polymer frame dust cover
Enlarged ambidextrous magazine levers
Improved ergonomic control levers (safety and/or decocking)
Low-profile, drift adjustable, 3-dot sight
Contoured and radiused slide with forward grasping grooves
Ambidextrous slide release

I believe that the LEM version is variant 8, the only variant which is not shown in the photo above.

I expect that most dealers and distributors would only stock variant 1 with the others available to special order. Master distributors and businesses with a large police component may stock some of the other variants such as LEM (V8) or left hand versions.

Cant remember all the variants but ther are two basic version.Full size and
compact. The other variants have to do with triggerand saftey configurations
and sights.

Hmm, who would have thought that the variants of of one pistol (USP) would be the same as another pistol (HK45) from the same manufacturer. Makes sense nowthat I've thought about it.

Thank you.

It's just a mistake on HK's part. There may be an LEM version in the future, but there won't be ten different variants, I can pretty much guarantee that.

For the USP, Basically you have your pick of:

Single Action/Double Action with safety & decocker
Single Action/Double Action with decocker only
Single Action/Double Action with safety only
Double Action Only

And theres left and right handed versions of both.

The HK45 RIGHT NOW only comes in variant 1 (SA/DA with safety and decocker)

soon to be had in LEM also.

The HK45 uses a lot of parts from the USP, so i wouldn't doubt HK will eventually have all the USP type variants for the HK45, but RIGHT NOW all you have is V1.

HK45 comes with ambi-controls, so that alone reduces the number of variants almost by half. I also don't think you will see any DAO/manual safety variants - HK seemed to move away from that concept with the P2000.

I bet the detent plate to change it to a SA with no decocker (safety lever only),...is the same on the USP series.
