HK91/G3 mags

The US market was flooded with HK mags and accesories from Portugal in around the year 2000. Mags were down around $3 each, and even now haven't recovered to the double digit mark.

None of that surplus made it up here. People who own HKs in Canada probably still think of the mags as $60 items, like they were in 1990. If you try to sell them for forty people will think they are cheap.

Hard to say. I suspect that like me, most owners of G3s or 91s probably have all of the mags they need for a rifle they can't legally discharge. I certainly wouldn't pay 1990 prices for a magazine to fit one of my 12 (3), (4) or (5) Firearms today. Quite the opposite. And contrary to popular belief, it ought to be entirely possible to bring in cheap, pinned G3 mags. You simply have to pay a 3rd party importer who is willing to pin and ship the mags. Irunguns offers mag pinning. They won't be $3 USD apiece with brokerage and shipping, but they probably wouldn't be anywhere near $60 CAD either.

Much the same applies to your collapsing buttstock. The going rate in the US is approx $250 USD. But again, that is a very different market than Canada's stagnant prohib situation. The difficulty will be to find an owner of a live 12 (3) G3 or 12 (5) 91 who needs such a stock for collection purposes. Again, many like myself who have owned these firearms for 20+ years will have long ago fully accessorized them. The owner of a DEWAT would not be able to mount the newly-acquired stock due to the RCMP guidelines which require the existing Receiver cap to be welded onto the Receiver, so limited attraction.

Based on the above? I would suggest no more than $30 CAD for the mags, assuming a neat riveting/pinning job and excellent condition. For the collapsing stock I recommend a starting price of $150 CAD, again assuming excellent condition. Gauge interest and adjust downwards if warranted. If they sell right away, well then you probably could have asked a bit more, in which case my advice will have been worth exactly what you paid for it.
