Hmmmm…..!

Excellent looking savages you have there Kamlooky!

I have a couple questions and I hope doesn’t come off as criticism.

What magnification are the scopes and how do you like them on the 99’s?

The mounts look a pinch tall for the cheek rest, how do they shoulder?

Throwing a 4x32 on one shortly. Starting to think I’d like it better at 18.7” though and would like to find someone to solder for a reasonable dollar near YYC

The 250 I haven’t shot yet.
It had a very old Bushnell awner.
The Leupold I had which I put on is an M8 4X.
I’m not happy with the height as far as looks go.
To change this would require new bases as the rings are propritory to the bases.
Weird chit I haven’t seen before.

The .308 works fine as it is.
Scope Chief VI 4X?
Lots of muzzle blast with my peppy reloads.

Thinking of putting them up on the EE if and when I can figure out a price.

Never been a 99 fan.

Leupold makes a base that works for turn in rings, millet/weaver etc.

I have the low rings and a 40mm tube scope is too thick, hits the fold down rear site.

Keeping mine as it was my mothers….

But, I also see why you’d pass those along. A boat anchor compared to a 94, the overall length with the trigger location makes these things a bit nose end heavy.

Do like some of the classic lines, although when you look at the receiver and stock, nothing is perpendicular or parallel.

It has some nostalgia though for sure

Edit: some pigs need a lot of makeup before you get the courage to take ‘em out the house where they could be seen by your buddies

(Shame)
