HMMMM what to buy next......

Thanks Capp, I will keep that in mind when I finallly get the pistol & the parts. I chose the Guide rod kit I did because it comes with 4 different level springs 12, 14, 18 & 20lb. Rod, bushings etc. for around $40 US (Brownells). The rod itself is Stainless steel.

If it changes the reliablility of the pistol it will go the way of the dodo. But I liked the idea that it came with 4 differnt springs and for $40 I can afford to play with it a little.

Thanks for all of the info!

Cheers!

You can only shoot one at a time.

I hate to say it, but if I must recommend another, and you have already bought a ChiCom made weapon that supported a factory that is being used to make weapons to invade Canada one day, and sold at rock bottom prices to destabilize US and allied manufacturing and arms capability - I guess you should buy another one so you can keep shooting if you have a problem.

;)

Then.

Ammo and Training.

You referring to banning me from a thread?

Ahhh... the old ask for opinion and then complain when you don't like the answer.

I told you to repeat your first buying choice to have a redundant platform and keep you shooting, and then you will get good with that model is inferred etc. I know Gunnar/Armco's work comes highly recommended, while I also expressed my opinion about buying Chinese... Fair enough I would say?

Then you want to Censor? Nice!

I love it when people show their true colors!

You moving to Bantario soon? Maybe you will work for the Miller reelection campaign?

After you've shot for a while and played the 'I gotta get a new gun' game, you may develop into the phase where you assess what you shoot the best. Then you stick to those, get some spare guns and spare parts and shoot the crap out of them to develop skill. For me I tend to sell the 'cast off' guns once that happens. So the advice to get a spare is well founded, shoot the spare while the main is repaired, if you have a good supply of parts, then change parts.

However if you just started shooting it may be a while before you find what works best for you. Please note the one that works 'best' is just a miniscule improvement in accuracy, speed, or 'feel'. Basically when you find a gun that fits you best, accuracy and speed come with it due to repeatability and confidence.

Or you can accept most guns shoot better than the man behind it and just train to adapt to the gun you have, less money and less 'fun', but effective. Buy lots of ammo develop skill and then you're better equipped to figure out what works best for you!

yyyyy.... It's not that I don't want opinons and advice.....

But I prefer to get advice I can understand.... I don't understand how people can say "don't buy Chineese"..... I would hazard a guess that 90% of the merchandise any of us bring home from the store is made in China. I bet half of the parts in our "Made in the USA" or "Made in Austria" or "Made in Italy" firearms came off a boat from China.

No, I don't drink Glock kool-aid..... I have handeled many Glocks but I find them ..... how do I say.... Uncomfortable???.... (not quite the word I am looking for) I own an M&P, a Buckmark, a couple of M-213's..... (the 213's I'd have to say are probably the 2nd best shooters of the bunch, behind the Buckmark) So I wouldn't say I am Polymer Biased either.

yyyyy Your advice to buy 2 the same and shoot them both is good advice.... A conclusion I have already arrived at myself. It just took me 4 readings of your post to finally understand WTF you were saying...... Thus the following post..... :D

Thanks for the Comments. I will read them all and decide which ones I will "buy" stock in.

yyyyy You are more than welcome to keep on posting..... So is everyone else......

But don't knock me for owning a "chicom" gun untill you no longer have a single thing in your house that is made in China......

Cheers!

Thanks for the reply,

But why not knock them, and encourage other people to look into the issues, if you are doing your best not buy them?

If it is impossible to not by them then it is impossible....

Guns can be bought from Austria, the USA, and even Canada while maybe with dental floss or blank DVD's there are no options.

The issues related to strategic destruction of industry through economic tactics or weaponry is well documented in history.

If I have the choice I won't buy Chinese. Like you said, there are lots and lots of "goods" that are made in China. Unfortunately society has stepped too deep in the asian product market to escape it entirely. Every journey starts with a single step. So why not start where you can by not buying crap built in a nation that has zero respect for human rights, animal rights(I'm talking about inhumane acts), zero environmental controls or concerns, and for the most part produces low quality junk.

I would take all of that money and buy as much ammunition as I could afford and then I would store it for 1 year, perhaps 2. You will be able to sell it box by box for a healthy profit later. You'll probably end up with a free gun if you do it right.
