Hodgdon powder missing seal

Make sure you check that you bottles of powder have a seal. Yesterday I received my second 1lb bottle missing both the seal in the cap and the "sealed for your protection" seal, first one was a couple years ago. Both times powder was H110 and bought from dealers, Wholesale this time. I tested the first one and saw no real difference in fps of my loads but it was just annoying to find this. Anyone hoarding may find a bad bottle years later

Oddly enough I found this with some Hodgdon H335 that I bought on the weekend. Should I be taking it back?

I opened one bottle not too long ago and thought the same thing ie missing seal but when I looked, it was stuck under the lid. I guess it peeled off when I unscrewed it.

Mine had a punctured seal, but the jar looked like it was full.

Sometimes the seal sticks to the lid. Check your lid to see if it's there

i find the seals never really stuck that well with their line of powders.

This. I find it more prevalent with the plastic lids than the metal lids.

The seal doesn't stick worth a crap, I don't worry about it

I was a a gun show last month, and the guy I was with picked up a 1lb of 4350. While talking to the vendor he unscrewed the lid and the seal was slightly convex, like pressured from inside. He lightly touched it an "POP" it came off. Bough himself 45 dollars worth of $35 powder.

I just bought a lb of RL22 at Whs Made it home the inner seal was folded in half and only weighed 12 oz of powder.Its a 5 hr drive so returning it isn't an option. Besides no returns on powder there. phoned and was told by some young fellow could not have happened at their establishment.

Maybe there is a couple of reloaders working the inspection desk at Canada Customs
