Is there much difference between 63 gr and 64gr .224 bullets? I have hodgdons BL-C(2) on hand for reloading, which can be used for 63gr .224.64 gr .224 in the Lee manual use's completely different powder and Hodgdons online data does not cover 64 gr .224 is there that much of a difference?

Any help would be appreciated

Since you will be starting low and working up. as explained in your reloading manual, , I'll bet you don't notice much difference.;)
 
When I get a bullet or boolit that is a couple grains away from anything in my manual I just use similar data and work up.

173gr .308 I'd use 175gr data
408gr .458 I'd use 405gr data
 
I reload for 22-250 remington and alot of the bullet manufacturers data will state a min barrel twist for higher grain ... one or two up .. for my specific loads. Ie mfg A states you require a 1:10 twist or faster (meaning you would require 1:8 if i have my thought process correct for 65 gr. I was looking at some 52 adn 53 match bullets, and the 53 required 1:10 or faster. Not sure why they do this for the modern 22-250 rem's come with standard 1:14, which is a bit slower.

What bullets and firearm are you loading for. I would suggest checking for it could make a big difference.
 
I am reloading for my Norinco m4. Winchester 22cal were what the local gun shop had so i thought i would try them. Its my first time reloading for 223 rem probly just over thinking and not keeping it simple.

If your 1:9 twist, which I believe some the M4 carbines are, then you not have any issues.
 
As was already said, if you are using a starting load and then working up from there, you will have zero problems. BLC2 is a great powder, measures like poop through a goose.
 
While the 1gr mass difference has no effect on pressure or velocity, the shapes of the two different bullets will. The issue here is the bearing (bore contact) surface of the two. In any case, unless you're operating at max pressures for the one with the smallest bearing surface, no problem.
 
If you are shooting the M4 at CQB distances (under 100 yards) you could start at the STRT load and try a few grains more and LESS.

CQB stresses speed and accuracy. Accuracy at 25 yards is much more of an aiming issue than a grouping issue. A milder load that functions the action reliably might give you a significant speed advantage.

No point in beating up the rifle to shoot 25 yards.

To answer your question, no difference because of weight. use the START load and go from there. My NorcM4 seem to develop pressure easily. It maxes out well before the max loads in the book.
