Hogue forend for a 14" Mossberg?

Hey guys-guess I should have done a little digging before assuming the regular/Hogue 500/590 forend would work. lol She's "too long" I say!" haha All good, the one I ordered will be repurposed with no issue.

I did email Hogue with this question but I'll throw it out to the collective here=I'm SOL I guess, or anyone have some good news? Would be nice, hadn't realized how much the Mossberg 500/590 version differs from the 870 ones I've used. Narrower/smaller=I like it!

But still S.O.L.?
 
Hey guys-circling back.. When I didn't know there was a difference I bought a standard HOGUE/Mossberg forend...and I like them more than the 870 ones. But I did discover the issue quick, and no...not looking to alter the gun or it's action bar situation.

BUT, I am curious to know how guys have shortened them and what the final result looks like. Don't need this solution "@ any cost" if it's too ugly.
With the number of 14" barrels/Shockwaves out there-can't understand why Hogue doesn't expand to include these? I asked them why they don't, they replied that "we're not making that option at this time" (?) Yep, got that part already. haha
