Recently purchased an NP-34 from the lovely people at SFRC.

Got to the range, enjoyed my time with her, but had one really big dislike... The grips, so I ordered the Hogue Rubber 2 Piece grips for the 228.

Understandably, these are made for legit P228's, and I expected some fit issues. After installing, the mags wouldn't fit unless I forced them. Shaved off some of the rubber/plastic and got the mags to fit.

The issue I'm having now, is that there is a small gap, about 3/4 of the way down the back side of the grip.

I'll update with pictures later, if needed, but was wondering if anyone had this issue, and how to solve it.

tl;dr ver: Hogue grips have a small gap near the bottom, ever so slightly exposing the spring inside need help fixing.

Thanks for your help.

I have the wrap around model on my NP34. It had the same issue with magazines and a mere #^% hair gap near the base of the grip. I would check the relief cut underneath the slide stop because it may cause stoppages. Maybe a bit of heat on the panels would help?
