For those of you shooting hogue stocks.

Is the butt pad that comes on these decent? Or can it be changed out for limbsaver?

I'm just thinking because I want to order the hogue standard set for my Winchester 1300 deer gun but I've already spent the $40 and put a limbsaver on the stock synthetic butt stock.

Thanks for any help.

It's decent, maybe you could put a grind-to-fit Limbsaver on there, but it's hardly worth it IMO.

Thanks. I like the idea of the rubber overmolded stock but the win 1300 is a light gun and shooting sabots at deer even with 2 3/4" is punishing to sight in. I realize I don't want the fore end as it sits too far forward and I hold my foreend at the most rear ward point. As I find it nice to swing.

I take it you want the standard 13.75" LOP stock?

You might even want to hold on that as while the Hogues have better shaping and grip texture than a factory plastic stock, it's not going to be much different than what you have now otherwise.

Thanks, I guess I'll just save the $ and put it towards more sabots for sighting in and range practice.
