Anyone have experience with these? I want to replace the crappy factory stock on my 870. Also planing on getting the Hogue pistol grip. Opinions? I'm assuming that Epps can get this stuff so I'll probably go through them.
I want my gun to be a bit more tactical looking while still having a stock that would be comfortable for clays and hunting.

They are the shizzle, my nizzle.

:D

I have the 12" LOP model on my norc, very comfortable, and the rubber gives a VERY secure grip. I bought mine direct from Hogue.

Hey Nine, I've been wanting one for my Mossy 500, when I Houge an online question, I never get an answer, was your transaction smooth?

I have one on my 10-22 and I think they're great,

Very smooth, shipped same day. :D

You just have to pay duty when it arrives though, I believe it was around $15, so have some change handy when the mail man comes. ;)

I have the same Hogue set on my 870 and it's a good unit. The length of pull is a little short, under 14 inches. That's good for a slug gun which is my primary use but I'd want more length on a bird or clays gun. It reduces recoil very nicely and provides a firm grip on the gun.

You may find a challenge getting the forend off. A pair of needle nose pliers and some patience will get it off. Remington makes a special forend tool to remove the forend from the forend iron. If you are ordering through Epps they might do it for you as part of the deal. No harm in asking.

I have both the 12” and 14”.

I like the shoulder piece, it is made of plastic (cheek part) and rubber (the hand grip). The feel of it is excellent, it is the same great feel of all the Hogue grips and stocks I tried (10/22, Mk 2, all kind of SIGs, Glocks, some revolvers).

For 870, I consider Hogue much superior to all other synthetic stocks I tried, like Remington, Speedfeed, Choate.

But, at least for me, it is very difficult to use open sights with the short 12” tactical stock because it brings the receiver to close to the eyes.
I’m sure it can work with better or younger eyes than mine or with shooters with a smaller frame. Or maybe ghost rings or hollow sights or red dots work better with the short 12”.
For me, the 14” works best.

Foregrip is nice too, but I substituted mine with the rail one.

Here are some pics of my Remy with the short 12", but my camera is not so great:

But the Hogue 14” is definitely a keeper.
