Just ordered myself a 12" LOP stock for the 500 direct from the Hogue site, they ship to Canada and were very pleasant over the phone.

For the short lop stock and the forend shipped to my door it was $132.00 I believe.

If you are looking for the short LOP stock, I suggest you try one before you buy it. I have a Hogue 12" LOP on my 5901A1 and I find it too short so I added a slip on Limbsaver and its perfect at about 13" LOP. YMMV.

click on SFRC add in this site. They are about $85.00 for black SLP 12" . If you go with the short stock keep your thumb out of the way it could contact your nose and make water run from your eyes.LOL

I like mine but it had been available at the time I would have went with the Mesa Urbino instead, the extra .5 of LOP and the pistol grip configuration make it easier to handle than the nearly awkwardly short Hogue IMO.

Also as a bonus the Mesa is available with a better recoil pad.

you need to be short like Danny Devito and wearing a lot of body armour to get proper fit with a short stock. I'm 5'11" and I need a slip on added to a full length stock to get correct fit.

Agreed. I bought one and when it got here I thought it was a toy. I didn't even bother to mount it.
