hold on a 400 yard zero

On a similar note, I purchased the higher front blade available from Brownell's. The parcel arrived in merely 9 business days. Today I finished filing it to fit and checked the dovetail on the old versus new blade with a micrometer.
Lots of measuring, a bit of force carefully applied with a blacksmith hammer and a brass drift and it appears centered, I'm done for now.

Part II is taking it to the range and trying it out, then more filing. ;)

Edit: This is for a very short Mauser carbine in 8x57mm.
