Holidays Sales Bulk Ammo Pricing

NS - Look at the 'header' of the flyer. The 'Free Shipping' notice has an asterisk, which if you click will tell 'exceptions' which include firearms and ammo, as I said. NOT FREE for everything.

Must be new since I've had ammo shipped from them multiple times without any shipping costs.

American Eagle 9mm Luger 147 gr. FMJ (1000rd case) for $369.99, in BC at Tiger amrs, is a good deal (only pickup unfortunately, no free shipping).

Well this year was a bust. No stand outs for bulk ammo.

They were not crazy good deals but OK deals. OK enough so for me to open up the wallet and proceed with stacking them deep.:
-PMC 223 at 60 cents a round
-Norinco 7.62.x39 non corrosive $10.80/20 ( these were $9.99 at Cabela's in the summer, should have bought more).
-Winchester 22LR HP $38/500
-Sako 300 Win Mag 180 grain SP $44/20

Unfortunately, I really don't see ammo getting much cheaper anytime soon.

A small sample of the horde, lol :)

Who had PMC 223 on for $0.60/round during black Friday?

Solely had PMC 223 at $599/1000 with free shipping during their pre Black Friday sale earlier his month.

I remember seeing that back in Oct and thinking there would clearly be sales better than that during actual black Friday.

Turns out I was wrong, should have stocked up.

Finally got the remains of my "black friday " purchases, Sako 180 grain Gamehead 300 Win Mag order came in today. Boy this is really nice ammo. I believe Bullseye still has this bulk price available until January 4th. Its a great deal for anyone looking for a premium 300 win mag hunting round. Works out to $22 for a box of 10 rounds. Cabelas is selling the same stuff for $50/box of 10. Tenda has the Super hammerhead rounds in 180 grain for $35/10. Ultimately $2.20 a round is pretty decent considering a reload at today's component prices is coming close to 2 bucks( not including the brass). Seems like the new price norm for 300 win mag 180 grain factory rounds is $3-4 per round and likely to worsen in the near future.

That's a great price! My FIL just stocked up on the same when I sent him that sale. If only they had some Sako 338 Win in stock. The cheapest I'm seeing is $4.20/round.

Is there anyway of finding out if Cabelas will or not ship ammo free in their sales. 9 out of 10 people say no . If you read the small print it says no to ammo and firearms .

I just noticed Bullseye topped their black friday deal on Winchester HP 22LR 525 count boxes with their bulk buy discount , if you buy 20 it drops the price to $35.95 per box or the equivalent of $34.25/500 brick. That's got to be the cheapest current price on 22LR anywhere. Not to mention the free shipping and its pretty decent ammo. Good deal.

Think I might need to stock up. My last bulk buy of 22LR was 16 years ago when I picked up 15K during Cabela's grand opening in Winnipeg at the old SIR location. The $19.99 reg bricks were discounted to $10. Inflation calculator suggests $20 ammo should cost $28.38 in todays dollars, so $34.25 is not the worst case scenario I guess.

Also noticed Bullseye allows you to mix and match you 20 item bulk buy, i,e. 15 boxes of slugs and 5 boxes on 22LR or whatever combo. As long as the items have a bulk buy option and you get 20 + total items you still get the additional 10% discount.

Last of the 'Gooduns' for the Year

I got the 'last' of Barnaul .223 SP 62g from Tenda, along with a few more goodies to break $300. 8x PMC 62g GreenTips, and a brick of Fed Premium Gold Medal 22LR SV . Funny thing, I was returning from Dr appt and saw UPS truck driving a few blocks from my home. I chased him down and asked for pkg for my address. He was stunned but said " I was just there." Got my Christmas present from him !! :d:d
