I can't believe I didn't know this until I read this thread. I was convinced they were illegal. Does anyone know any retailers in Toronto/GTA area that sell this ammunition(commercial). Which brand/types are recommended for 9mm?

Will someone please explain the Law to Wholesale sports. I went in to buy some .40S&W ammo today and asked the guy behind the counter who was helping me why they didn't carry the cartridge in Hollowpoint. He went on to explain to me how it wasn't legal for them to sell hollowpoints unless they are a round that is to be used in a rifle. He said they can legally sell boxes of 25 rounds or less and they can sell hollowpoint bullets for reloading but they can't sell them in in the normal 50 round box variety. I told him that he was wrong and that I have and can buy the hollowpoint ammo from other retailers but he wouldn't budge from his interpretation of the law.:mad:
 
It really sucks when gun shop owners do not know the law, let alone normal people. Then again Canadian Firearm law seems pretty wishy washy so you can't blame 'em.
