Anyone here ever own or know anything about a press called a Hollywood Senior.

It is a very heavy and well built, sturdy press. I don't know when they were made but seems very high quality.

Any info, appreciated.

Last Hollywood I bought was made late 50's early 60's (?)
I still have it, as it VERY robust and worked well for swaging as well as being big enough for .50BMG.
If you would like to part with it send me a pm.

I dug out a 1996 Handloaders DIgest. The Hollywood sR is listed at $500, a RCBS Rockchucker is listed at $120.

Guess they were still being made in 1996, maybe still today, btu you dont' see many ads for them.

Thanks Gate, I don't think this one was made in 1996, just by the looks of it.

If you didn't know what it was, you would think it is a hydraulic jack by the looks of it. Very stout compared to other presses.

Don't really know why they are built so sturdy, maybe that's the way they did things back in the day.

Did it have a picture of it in Handloader Digest?

I have had several Hollywood presses, 3-, Universal 3 12 station turret presses and a 8 station Senior turret press. The Senior turret and single stage Senior were still being assembled by an old guy in Northern California, but I have not talked to him in at least 2 years.

I still have the 8 station Senior. I will never sell it.

these were my 3 Universal 3's being refurbished.
