Holosun Canada - Recent warranty experience: unresolved

Not looking for help, this is just an FYI for everyone else

I've had a lot of luck with holosun optics since 2018, I had a warranty claim with them in 2020 which was handled quickly, which increased my confidence.

In October of last year my HM3X magnifier had something occur internally which has left a mark of some kind on the inside of the eyepiece lens, it's a small visual obstruction but very noticeable.

I followed their warranty procedure, emailed with photos and an explanation of the steps that I had taken so far.

Crickets, sent a couple follow up emails, no reply, sent another follow up from a different account in december on the off chance my mail was being caught in a Junk filter, got a reply that it would be looked at.

more crickets, sent a follow up in early march, another reply that it would be looked at. No further communication.

I understand that the magnifier is not a high end product, but it is meant to be covered by their warranty and it's less than 2 years old. Coming up on 6 months without a response beyond "I'll look at the pictures" has left me with the impression that their business has vastly expanded in canada but their warranty support is still just one guy who now cannot keep up.

I would say that their products are good until they aren't and at this point their warranty is a paper warranty only, and does not appear to be backed by action in this country, buyer beware.
