LOL... what's funny is I actually was laughing about this and then I thought, "Hey, that's absolutely true!"

That doesn't bother me one bit, I'm still a stable shooting platform AND safely behind cover... comes in handy for real life stuff..i.e. when the jealous husband comes home!!!! (just kidding) :runaway:

Don't you mean Wife......LOL:p ..........OOh, that is a good burn..;)

Hey Maurice,

I used to work in an environrment where you would say all kinds of nasty things about a guy to his face and good comebacks were expected....(I think it's a tac team/police thing).

The funny (and good) about it was that these guys who would give you such a hard time always said nice things BEHIND your back. You can rest assured that if I say it up front, I'm not saying it behind your back. ;)

(You're one of those good, funny guys who can take it too!):)

Besides, I don't like married women!:runaway:

It's all good in the hood, you arrest, I babysit;)

Most people reading this should realize this goes on more at the matches, which makes IPSC that much more fun.

Exactly!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually, I've had alot of fun at CDPA matches, too. It's the same kinda folks just very slightly different games.:)

the yakking and joking aorund are great and I've met some awesome people from all over the country!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, if you contact info@infosourcedirect.com or call(800) 721-3109 and leave a message, arrangements can be made to set up a CSSA certified course for your club. The CSSA office has been unendated with calls lately which is why some of you may have been having difficulty getting through.
We are committed to doing one course in December in the Kitchener area and another in the Oshawa area likely this year. We will book courses for next year. There are currently 24 certified club level instructors for CDPA. We have the manpower it is just a question of booking dates and locations.

Lighten up Francis

I have been shooting IPSC since the early 80's, and like most, got away from it because the "equipment race" got out of hand. That was not what the sport was meant to be all about. (just ask pops who regularily kicks ass with a womens Glock, stock, out of the box). The IDPA was formed by some of the founding members of IPSC in order to bring things under control. (check out the names of some of the top competitors). IDPA is basically looking after the interests of concealed carriers in the US. and there are a lot of them. All rules are strictly set in that direction and although some of them may seem anal, like all good training, drill, drill, drill, until you can do it with your eyes closed. CDPA which is now CDP because it is not an association, is a carbon copy of IDPA which caters to some of the bizare rules we have to deal with in Canada. As an ex IPSC shooter, an IDPA and CDPA RO, SO, MD and instructor, I have to say all three have merit, some just cost a lot more. This whole holster issue is out of control. If you join IDPA there is no competitor's course, you just join and shoot. If you join CDP you must take a short course in order to allow you to compete. It is not painful and as I have witnessed on several occasions probably a good idea. At the Pembroke Outdoor Sportsman's Club Pat, Jeff, and I hold Skills and drills days from time to time at no cost, to help new shooters get more out of the sport. Everyone seems to enjoy this and if you check our website you will see that we have quite a few people classified from marksman to expert, and believe me we do not give those classifications away easily. I hope I have shed some light on this issue (without using too many Acronyms).

PS Trillium and Popurhedof are the two worst shooters at our club!

yes, yes, IDPA style shooting organizations don't like the race holsters....that is getting a bit old.

Have you followed other shooting sports? USPSA has a Single stack division that only uses belt style holsters. Production Division utilizes duty type pistols.
Edited because I am drinking wine.

^good wine? Or wine from a cardboard box with a hole in it, left out for a few weeks in the sun and you had to strain it through a coffee filter?

I think Im gonna go home and have a beer on that note.

I know race holsters are popular, but unless your really good, it probably doesnt make a huge difference anyways.:)
