Shoot for fun or shoot to win, as long as you do it safely.
Otherwise who cares if it is IPSC or IDPA or CAS or whatever type of shooting you are doing...

Damned you guys are silly sometimes.

You see you got that totally wrong.

The truth of the matter is they REPRESENT the sport.

Quigley is the properly elected REPRESENTATIVE of IPSC Ontario.

Sean is the properly ELECTED REPRESENTATIVE of IPSC Canada.

Likewise IPSC has other member who are ELECTED at various levels right up to the top Executives ( Currently the President is a Canadian BTW).

Mind you some days I think that the Execs at the WB of IPSC have their heads up their puttuties........but it is hard to argue with a democratic system.
Who is the eleted head of IDPA again? Damned if I can remember their name.

They may be the duly elected representatives, but they are not themselves 'the sport'. IPSC will long succeed them, I guarantee it.

Perhaps you should reserve your judgment till you have experienced what you are talking about first hand. As theres no large scale rebellion going on right now in the Ontario IPSC community I think its safe to say that all of us support Quigley and the job he does...

But where the hell is my Sitrep magazine!!! :D

Other than getting a bit huffy with Steve...feel free to point out where I ever claimed to be anything other than Ontario's rep to IPSC Canada...and try doing it without once again taking Seans comments out of context

Well, I may partake in IPSC one day because the actual shooting does seem like fun, there is no way you guys can actually believe that one man, or two men, make the sport. Quigly may do an excellent job, (I can't say one way or the other), but with any org, the success will be due to all the members.

For someone to openly say in a public forum "I am IPSC" (post # 45) is.... like I said, a disservice to all of you's who participate, run BB courses, act as SO's, etc, etc. On that part, my opinion will not change, IPSC member or not.

well we pay our dues and make him the boss, he along with others who run the matches, RO and do the volunteer work is what makes the sport run.

I have been reading through this thread trying to figure out why you would care enough to type all these posts...especially since you have never even tried IPSC.

Then it dawned on me....you must be TDC's little bro'.

:feedTroll:

Jusus H f**king Christ

I did not make any such comments...I did not make post 45. I defended IPSC (and the RD) ...and will contnue to do so.

Beyond that...leave me the f**k out of this...or learn how to read

This thread is turning into some EPICNESS, LOL.

For the record, I like shooting them both, IPSC and IDPA. The more trigger time, the better, as far a I am concerned. Although, I do find it difficult to go from one to the other. Not the safety aspect, just the Rules.

The politics of any organization, at times gets fuzzy. I am sure if everyone was put in a room, had a beer in their hand, or beverage of choice, there would be a lot less mudslinging and divisiveness, and more camaraderie would ensue.

To quote Red Green," I am pulling for ya, we're all in this together"

No point in putting each other down, or making snide comments out of the side of your neck, if there is nothing to gain from it.

So, all this chest puffing is answering the original post...how?

Healthy rivalry between different styles is one thing, but there is a lot of ego and :nest: in this thread that might be put to better use in another discussion. Let's all be friends again, hmmm?

If we all have it out of our systems now, can we help the first poster (and any others looking here for information) how/where he can get a holster qual?

Just my opinion of course...carry on...
